Mold Functional Sample
We implement a comprehensive evaluation of mold performance – including mechanics (slides, lifters, core toggle, auto-unscrewers, in-mold closing actions…), plumbing, plastics delivery and ejection systems.
Mold & Part Qualification
Based on project requirements and the customer’s need, extensive metrology services and experienced process engineering combine to ensure consistent mold performance for the creation of conforming injection molded products. On-time launch and long-time performance are based on a successful mold qualification.
Full System Qualification
Beyond the injection mold, system qualification and validation encompasses the injection molding machine, ancillary processing equipment, robotics, conveyors and integrated downstream automated operations (re-orientation, assembly, traying, bagging…)
We take a studied approach to testing and defining the process to create conforming product. The procedure involves consideration of the many variables affecting the molded part and determining the settings most conducive to long-term production.
Material Testing & Validation
New product development programs may have the need to test several materials to determine the best resin for the application. Variables can include: surface appearance / aesthetics, part performance (drop test, warp, shrink) and process characteristics (flow).
Industry Leading Equipment & Software
MGS Sampling houses a wide range of injection molding machines – 28 to 1400 ton, along with portable multishot equipment (portable injection units and rotary systems) for quick single shot-to-multishot press conversion.
Pressure Transducer Technologies for Product & Process Qualification
We employ scientific molding methods to suit part and process requirements for precision and repeatability – using sensors and software to carefully monitor each phase of the injection molding process.
Comprehensive Process Simulation
MGS provides a complete range of services, from basic part design evaluation to sophisticated fill / pack / cool / warp analysis. Alternative process analysis includes: multishot, co-injection, gas assist and (metal) insert.
